The idea

Take a four-letter word and find your way to POOP, changing just one letter per move. It is a familiar word-ladder idea with a lighthearted destination. There is a daily challenge to return to and an unlimited mode for extra practice.

An independent edition

This project takes gameplay inspiration from poople.io and the learning tools at pooplegame.com. It is an independent implementation and is not operated by or affiliated with either reference site. Its own dictionary and schedule can produce different routes and scores.

A shared foundation

Our 5,394-word dictionary is derived from word-list 4.1.0, licensed under MIT, with the target POOP added explicitly. We retain lowercase four-letter words connected to the target. This includes some regional and uncommon forms. Read the source license.

Daily, Unlimited, the solver and teaching examples share this edition’s dictionary. Daily starting words come from a separate curated set. The minimum is computed from the word graph, not guessed from a hand-written solution.

The archive also includes historical puzzles #1–#408 from Poople. Those answers preserve the original starting words, dates and 2,398-word dictionary, so their shortest paths can differ from this edition’s solver. This edition’s daily numbering begins at #409. Each answer becomes available after its puzzle ends.

No account is needed. Progress and daily statistics stay in your browser. Poople.top is maintained by the Poople team and runs without advertising or analytics. If something needs fixing, the private feedback form gives you a reference number.
